في تطور لافت للأحداث في مدينة كُتم بشمال دارفور ،على اثر مقتل معتمد الواحة عبد الرحمن محمد عيسى بسوق المدينة نهار أمس الأربعاء فقد قدمت مجموعات كبيرة من مليشيا الجنجويد إلي المدينة واتجهوا صوب معسكر ( كسّاب ) للنازحين بجوار المدينة وقاموا بمحاصرة المعسكر بشكل تام ، وقد وصل إلي المدينة كذلك والي ولاية شمال دارفور عثمان يوسف كبر للوقوف على الأحداث هناك ، وعند وصوله معسكر ( كسّاب ) أراد بعض الأفراد من نازحي المعسكر التحدث إليه ، فقامت مجموعة من الجنوجيد بإطلاق النار عليهم فوراً وإردائهم قتلى أمام الوالي وقائد الجيش في حامية كتم العسكرية !!، حيث عُرف من بين القتلى ، النازح آدم على آدم خميس ( نازح من قرية دبو ) وجاري التأكد عن بقية الأسماء .
وفي تطور آخر للأحداث هناك قامت مجموعات الجنجويد بقطع طريق كتم /الفاشر وقاموا صباح اليوم باقتحام معسكر ( كسّاب ) للنازحين مجدداً ، ولا زالوا يعيثون فيها الفساد بقتل وسحل النازحين " إلي حين تلقينا هذه الأنباء من مصادرنا من داخل مدينة كتم نهار اليوم ".
وتفيد الأنباء من هناك بان مدينة كتم أضحت الآن مدينة للأشباح لا يٌشاهد فيها سوى قطعان مليشيات الجنجويد يجوبون أجزاء المدينة ينشرون فيها الرعب ، فيما لزم المواطنون منازلهم بشكل تام دون ملاحظة أي أثر للقوات النظامية في الجيش والشرطة ، فضلاً عن قوات ( اليومنيد ) المناط بهم أساساً حماية النازحين عكس ما يدور الآن ، مما يثير الريبة والشك في فاعلية هذه القوات في أداء مهامها التي تم استقدامهم لأجلها وحجم التواطؤ بينها والحكومة السودانية في التجاوزات المستمرة من طرف المليشيات الحكومية تجاه المواطنين ؟!.
يجدر بالذكر أنّ مليشيات الجنجويد في كتم معظمهم من العناصر الأجنبية الذين تم استجلابهم من طرف الحكومة السودانية ويخضعون مباشرة تحت أمرة على عثمان محمد طه النائب الأول للرئيس .
